+ Steve Shiffman & The Land of No is about to put the finishing touches on the second of our EP Release Series, entitled Nemegt Uul. We have two rockers, both recorded at our new Studio Space, and a previously recorded rock/pop-ish number. The EP release dates is slated for October. More on this as the weeks progress.
+ Frozen Falls have begun recording sessions in the new Studio Space as well. The past month and a half has been a great experience here, having the gear set up in a permanent way. We can hone and craft and perfect our collective visions. All it needs is a small fridge to keep the brews and leftovers cold. It will be done.
+ Also, looking toward other recording projects, now that the studio has been established in a place conducive to tracking and mixing. It's becoming a dream come true. Still searching for a name for the studio. Suggestions are welcome.
+ Now, a forced, but much-needed, at home weekend with the lady, thanks to Irene, darkening the skies of Brooklyn as I type. Dark and Stormys on the menu for tomorrow. Be safe East Coast.

+ Death and Love is here! Steve Shiffman & The Land of No has just released the first EP in our Record Release series on Later Records. This is the first official release I have engineered on, with our drummer and friend Aaron Kant taking on the mixing duties. It sounds great, and we hope you enjoy.
Available at these and other fine locations:
Bandcamp, Amazon, iTunes, eMusic
+ Steve Shiffman & The Land of No and Frozen Falls have moved to new digs. A fine space in Brooklyn where we can spread our wings and get recording done. Brick walls, exposed ceiling, hardwood floors, windows - moving up in the world, so to speak. The coming months look busy as hell in studio-land. Yes.

+ Steve Shiffman & The Land of No are about to release the first installment in our Record Release series. Starting July, we will release a three song EP every three months, followed by an LP in April 2012, all on Later Records. The first EP, called "Death & Love" will be released on July 19, 2011. The release party for "Death & Love" will be on July 16, 2011 at Cake Shop. We have been having a fine time with the process, and look forward to the productive year ahead.

+ Next month, which will be December, I will be participating in a Group Show in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, called "TEAM WORK". Curated by my co-worker Eva Schmidt, the show consists of 77 of the 100-odd co-workers at our place of employment, the first of it's kind since the inception of the studio, and we're all very excited about it. I will be submitting my first Audio/Video piece, a direction that has interested me for some time, now to be conceived and shown. After the show is up next weekend, the piece will be posted somewhere here on the site. Surely, you will receive news when this happens. Please click on the image to the right for more info, and/or go to the Facebook "TEAM WORK" event page for more informtation. But also, the immediate details:
